Paddling Bio

 I bought my first kayak May 10, 2007, a Tsunami 160, and I was hooked. I jumped in with both feet and kept on going. I took many classes, went to many symposiums(WMCKA,GLSKS,PASKS,DCSKS, The Gales Storm Gathering, Midwest Sea Kayak Rendezvous,etc) and now I instruct/Coach at many, of them. I have paddled in Alaska, Scotland, Ireland, Wawa,  The Great Lakes, East and West coast, Lake Powell, North Carolina and more. I have been coached, instructed and discipled by many great coaches, instructors and other students. There’s always something to be learned every day I go out for a paddle and in return I enjoy passing along knowledge which I have received.

My GLSKS Story

When I went to my first symposium in Grand Marais I thought to myself this is where I want to be, good people, good instructors, good coaches, great place. Always learning always sharing. I’ve been to the GLSKS 10 times and look forward to participating in the next one
